Yiannis Karakasis MW (Master of Wine) is one of the approximately 400 Masters of Wine in the world. He writes, consults and educates about wine.
He is the founder of the blog karakasis.mw communicating Greek wine in the world.
He is moreover the author of ‘The Wines of Santorini’ longlisted for the Andre Simon awards.
Grigoris Michailos Dip WSET
Founding Partner & Development Manager
Grigoris Michailos is a wine professional, educator and writer with extensive experience in Greek wine. A WSET Diploma holder since 2009, he collaborates with Wines of Greece and Enterprise Greece on educational and promotional programmes in international markets. He contributes to wine publications in Greece and abroad and actively helps organise and develop major Greek wine events.
Sophia Drakou
Operations Manager
Sophia Drakou manages the operations for Greece's leading wine recognition and promotion platform, Great Greek Wines.
Oenologist and a wine and spirit technologies graduate, involved in wine and spirit production and promotion for almost a decade.
Beyond the operations of GGW, she manages wine cellars, teaches about wine, and oversees the organising of wine events.
