2026 begins dynamically for Great Greek Wines with two back-to-back, high-profile international initiatives in markets of strategic importance for Greek wine: Germany and Poland. Two markets with different characteristics, yet sharing common ground with steady growth, increasing demand for premium labels, and strong interest from opinion leaders in authentic, terroir-driven wines.

Germany represents a historically important market for Greek wine, with a clear need to upgrade its image in terms of price and positioning. The design of GGW’s activities focuses on its premium repositioning, through high-aesthetic experiences and direct engagement with audiences that shape trends and purchasing decisions.
Sylt, described by jancisrobinson.com as a “wine lover’s paradise,” will host a three-day series of high-profile events, in collaboration with Caro Maurer MW and the restaurant Söl’ring Hof (2 Michelin stars). On March 2nd, the program moves to Hamburg, at the Wine Academy Hamburg, for a Trade Masterclass led by Yiannis Karakasis MW, with the support of Caro Maurer MW.

POLAND | GGW “Panorama” – Warsaw

Poland is among the most dynamically developing markets for Greek wine. GGW “Panorama,” first presented in 2024, returns, open to all awarded winemakers regardless of the year of distinction.
In collaboration with Wojciech Bońkowski MW and Poland’s leading wine media Ferment, Panorama Warsaw has a clear export-oriented focus: a “Panorama” Walk-Around Tasting (Trade Only) with winery representatives present, and two “Panorama” Masterclasses led by Yiannis Karakasis MW and Wojciech Bońkowski MW.
