In a recent episode of the UK-based Wine Blast podcast, Masters of Wine Peter Richards and Suzie Barrie announced their Wines of the Year 2025. This annual selection carries significant weight, as it comes from two highly respected professionals with deep knowledge and influence in the international wine industry.
The wines were divided into eight categories, and among them, a Greek label stood out. In the Rosé of the Year category, the distinction was awarded to Markovitis Winery’s rosé, a wine that was also included this year in the list of Great Greek Wines.
This recognition is particularly meaningful not only for the winery itself and the quality of its work, but also for Greek rosé as a whole, which now clearly demonstrates its ability to stand alongside the top wines of the category on a global level.
