London’s prestigious wine club, 67 Pall Mall, will host one of the biggest wine tastings of the year on Wednesday, June 14th, with the Old Vine Conference trade, media, and member tasting. The event will feature over 120 wines from around the world, with a particular focus on old vine wines. Among them, a selection of 50 Great Greek Wines will be showcased, promising to impress and delight wine lovers and industry professionals alike.
The Old Vine Conference is a celebration of wines made from some of the oldest vines in the world. These vines, often over 50 years old and sometimes over a century old, produce grapes of exceptional quality, with concentrated flavors and aromas that reflect their unique terroir. They are also a testament to the rich history and heritage of winemaking, as many of these vines have been passed down through generations of winemakers.
Greece has a long and rich winemaking tradition, dating back to ancient times. Today, the country boasts a diverse range of grape varieties and wine styles, from crisp and refreshing whites to rich and complex reds. At the Old Vine Conference tasting, attendees will have the opportunity to sample some unique Greek wines, made from the emblematic indigenous varieties Assyrtiko and Xinomavro.
